On September 24, we will be launching an all new Online & Mobile Banking experience with new features and enhanced security. As part of this makeover, certain Online and Mobile services will be affected beginning Wednesday, September 19 at 2:00 PM CT - Monday, September 24 at 7:00 AM CT. 

In addition to the Online & Mobile Banking makeover, we will be changing our current web address (gatecitybank.com) to a new, more secure website address (gatecity.bank).

Additional information about the Online & Mobile Banking makeover, including a list of Frequently Asked Questions, can be found below. All bank locations and our Customer Service Center will remain open during normal business hours to assist you with any questions. 

Exciting New Features: After the makeover, you will experience a consistent look and experience across all devices (phone, tablet and desktop). New transfer capabilities will allow you to transfer funds to anyone with a Gate City Bank account, and to your accounts at other financial institutions. Plus, you will be able to manage your Gate City Bank ATM & Check Card and turn it "on" or "off" with new card controls in Online and Mobile Banking. 

Services Impacted

While Online & Mobile Banking will be available during the makeover, there will be some short-term impact to certain Online & Mobile Banking functions between September 19-24. Please review the items below to ensure a smooth transition. 

Important Dates: Before the Makeover (September 19 -23)

 Bill Pay

  • September 14-23: eBills and new eBill enrollment will be unavailable
  • September 17-23: New user enrollment will be unavailable
  • September 20-23: Bill Pay will be unavailable
  • Existing payments scheduled to be sent during this time will be processed

 Scheduled and Recurring Transfers

  • September 19-23: The scheduled and recurring transfers page will be unavailable
  • Existing transfers scheduled to be sent during this time will be processed


  • September 19: We will be unable to transfer Popmoney contacts, scheduled and recurring payments, and history to the new Online & Mobile Banking system. Prior to September 19, please follow the steps located in the Popmoney FAQs below to gather this information and ensure a smooth process for re-establishing your Popmoney information on September 24.
  • September 20-23: Popmoney will be unavailable
  • Existing payments scheduled to be sent September 20-23 will be processed; Payments scheduled on or after September 24 will not be processed

 Mobile App

  • September 17: The Gate City Bank mobile app will be unavailable for download. Users with the app currently installed can continue to use the app until September 24

 Money Management

  • September 19: Money Management will be unavailable starting at 3:00 PM CT

Important Dates: After the Makeover (September 24 at 7:00 AM)

Bill Pay

  • September 24: All Bill Pay functions will resume as normal at 7:00 AM CT

Scheduled and Recurring Transfers

  • September 24: All scheduled and recurring transfer functions will resume as normal at 7:00 AM CT


  • September 24: Re-establish your Popmoney contacts, future-dated and recurring payments within Online Banking
  • September 24: Once you have re-established your Popmoney contacts, future-dated and recurring payments, the Popmoney service will resume as normal

Mobile App

  • September 24: All users will need to download a new Gate City Bank mobile app from the app stores

New Web Address

  • September 24: Our web address will be changing from gatecitybank.com to gatecity.bank

Online & Mobile Banking

  • September 24: The first time you log in to your Online or Mobile Banking, you will be asked to re-establish your password. Your User ID will remain the same

New Online & Mobile Banking Features

  • The makeover will create a consistent look and experience across all devices (phone, tablet and desktop)
  • If you have personal and business accounts, they will now be accessible from the same login page. Personal and Business Online Banking will have the same look and feel
  • Transfer funds to friends, family or anyone with a Gate City Bank checking or savings account with Intrabank Transfers
  • Transfer funds between your accounts at Gate City Bank and other financial institutions with External Transfers
  • A new message center will allow you to securely send messages to Gate City Bank and view all your messages in one place
  • Turn your Gate City Bank ATM & Check Card "on" or "off," in addition to other card controls within Online & Mobile Banking
  • Instant person-to-person payments will now be available with Popmoney*
  • Online Statements and Notices will now be accessible through the Mobile App
