Online Statements are delivered to you through your secure Online Banking account and remain stored in your Online Banking account for up to seven years. What are Online Statements?

Online Statements are a FREE and easy way to safely and conveniently access your financial statements online. With Online Statements from Gate City Bank, it's like receiving monthly paper statements in the mail, except all your historical statements are stored online for you to view, print or save anytime. Your Online Statements are recognized as official documents and can be used for record-keeping purposes.

How do I sign up for Online Statements?

Online Banking:

  1. Go to www.gatecitybank.com and log in to Online Banking.
  2. Select "Online Statements" from the "Additional Services" menu.
  3. A list of your account numbers will appear in a drop-down box. Select the account number(s) for which you would like to receive Online Statements.
  4. Accept the terms and conditions.
  5. Click the icon next to the account statement that you would like to view.

Note: You must already be registered for Online Banking to receive Online Statements. To register for Online Banking please follow these steps:

  1. Go to www.gatecitybank.com.
  2. Click on "Sign Up."
  3. Follow the registration steps.
Online Business Banking:
  1. Go to www.gatecitybank.com and click "Login" in the Business Banking section on the left. Log into your Online Business Banking. Please note only the Company Administrator may request Online Statements.
  2. Mouse over "Online Requests" and click on "Suppress Paper Statements".
  3. Complete the Suppress Paper Statements request form and click Submit.
  4. Gate City Bank will process your request within one business day.
  5. The Company Administrator will receive an email thanking them for choosing Online Statements.

Note: You must already be registered for Online Business Banking to receive Online Statements. To register for Online Business Banking please contact us.

How do I view or get a copy of my Online Statements?

Note: To view or save a copy of your Online Statements, your computer must have Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can download Adobe to your computer for free at www.adobe.com.

Online Banking:
To view your Online Statements, log on to your Online Banking account. Select "Online Statements" from the "Additional Services" menu. Select the account you would like to view a statement for from the drop-down box and click "Submit." Then click on the PDF icon across from the statement date you would like to view.

To save a copy of your Online Statement, follow the instructions above, then simply click on "Save a copy."

Online Business Banking:
To view your Online Statements, log on to your Online Business Banking account. Mouse over “Account Activities & Reporting” and click on “View Account Statements.” Select the date range, the account(s) to search and click "Statement Search". The statement search will return all statements for the selected account(s) dated within the date range. Click on the date hyperlink to view the statement.

To save a copy of your Online Statement, follow the instructions above, then simply click on "Save a copy."

What is the fee for Online Statements?

Online Statements are FREE for Gate City Bank customers with a checking or savings account.

How long will my Online Statements be available?

Gate City Bank will archive the past seven years of your statements.

Can I receive Online Statements for all my accounts?

Online Statements are available for all checking and savings accounts. Signing up for Online Statements discontinues your paper statement.

What if I would like to stop receiving Online Statements?

You can unsubscribe from Online Statements at any time and begin receiving your paper statements again. Simply call us at your local Phone Banking number or send us an e-mail. Please note: Free Online Business Banking requires signing up for Online Statements.

How will I know when a new Online Statement for my account is available?

You will receive an e-mail notification when a new statement is available online. If you have signed up for Online Statements and are not receiving an e-mail notification, you can verify that your e-mail is correct by signing into your Online Banking account and going to "My Settings" in the top right corner. Look for the "Personal information" section and click "Update personal information." Your e-mail account may also be filtering the notifications into your spam or junk folders. To ensure that you receive the notifications, please add Gate City Bank to your address book or your safe list.  To update your email address for Online Business Banking, please contact us.

What is the difference between my Account History and an Online Statement?

The Account History will show transactions approximately 60 days prior to the day you registered for Online Banking and are cumulative from that point. Transactions shown are current with Gate City Bank's system. You can view your Account History without signing up for Online Statements.

Online Statements are similar to the paper statements you received in the mail in that they show transactions from a set period of time - or your statement cycle.
